| Jerri 06/12/2011 Dr. Chimanji is a very caring and wonderful doctor. He is truly concerned about my health and takes very good care of my medical issues. He always takes the time to really listen to my concerns and addresses all of them with kindness and true concern. i have also been fortunate enough to meet his wife on several of my visits and she is a wonderful addition to his office. He had been suffering a lot with constipation and pain in his stomach. My pediatrician could not help him with his pain even after 4-5 visits, also after lab work and personal examination. I was only asked to see a specialist. I then went to Dr. Chimanji, who could diagnose in the very first visit that My son had "Fishers". Thank God!!! I recently saw him with abdominal pain. After a thorough exam, he prescribed me antibiotics, but told me to watch it closely. He told me to call him anytime if my symptoms got worse, and even called me personally the next couple days to check on my progress. I was completely better and the abdominal pain went totally away 2 days later. I would have probably spent thousands of dollars on tests if I would have gone to the ER instead. He has been very supportive & understanding throughout my care Gary 02/25/2011 For years I was commuting between my home in west Texas and work in Dallas and several times I needed to see a doctor for a minor emergency and I went to see Dr. Chimanji. It's bad enough to be sick when out of town but trying to find a doctor when away from home is a major chore and they usually treat you like you are making them go out of their way but that was NOT the way I felt with Dr. Chimanji - in fact he makes you feel very comfortable (no matter how miserable you are with fever, coughing, etc). One other visit I was having a lot of problems with my legs and needed a special type of test and instead of waiting Dr. Chimanji called one of his colleagues over to his clinic late one evening to peform the test well after the clinic closed. Dr. Chimanji treats each of his patient's with the highest respect and level of professionalism. I have been so impressed with him I've recommended several of my friends and colleagues to visit his Urgent Care center. Thanks for all you have done for me and my family, Dr. Chimanji. Single Dad 02/10/2011 Once again I had the opportunity to go to an Urgent Care facility and of course, I would not see anyone except Dr. C. I would like to reiterate that Dr. C is very reasonably priced and has wonderful bedside manners. He takes the time to sit down and talk with his patient's and get to know them and work out a treatment plan that works best for you. I was seen immediately, which saved me time. If I would have gone to an ER, I would have waited hours before being seen and it would have cost me an arm and a leg. If I have a question regarding my treatment, I can call and actually speak with the doctor himself....which is almost unheard of in this day and age. Again, thank you Dr. C for being such a wonderful, patient and knowledgeable physician. I am proud to refer my family and friends to you and find comfort knowing that if an unfortunate incident happens, I have you waiting to see me promptly to listen and find the best treatment option for a reasonable price. Dr. Chamanji and his staff make you feel very welcomed, I am kindly greeted by my first name when I come through the door and they remember familial conversations that we have had at previous visits. Dr. Chimanji is very informative and educated and does not rush through visits and spends as much time needed to properly diagnose and leave you with a complete understanding of your diagnosis. I do appreciate his care and concern and the fact that he is willing to take and answer patient phone calls. He truly goes above and beyond for his patients-I had to make an after hours call to his office and he was more than willing to help me. Dr. Chimaji is a true rarity. Alex 01/29/2011 Dr. M. Timpthy Mullett I have been going to dr. chimanji for a while now. and in this age of trying to find a doctor who really cares about his patients. i have finally found one in dr. chimanji. he really cares and no matter how long it takes to find out what is wrong with you, he will take the time. he is not eager to just take your money, and push you out the door. i dont have insurance so i have to pay full price to see him, but it is well worth it. i know he is an emergency room doctor ,but i consider him my family doctor, and would trust this man with my life. so if you are looking for a doctor who cares and will take all the time you need to get well i highly recommend dr. chimanji for you to go see. he is not just a good doctor he is a good man. on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best i would give him a 10. i thank the lord for dr. chimanji
I can not express our gratitude to Dr. Chimanji. He has been our family Doctor and a good friend for the past 2 years since we moved in to Plano.
There are doctors that are just there for the money and there is Dr. Chimanji. For him you are not just a number, another customer, he really cares about you and your health, he listen to you and gives the best advice possible. He doesn't make you waste your time with bad treatments, his treatments are to make you feel better the first time.
I sincerely appreciate Dr. Chimanji, he has taught us what a good person one can be.
10/10/2010 Dr. Chimanagi is the most understanding and compassionate doctors within an urgent care setting I have ever seen. I am in between insurance plans and his out of pocket costs are minimal and he understands how expensive medical care can be so his is not out to "just take your money." He is dedicated and definitely is an experienced Emergency Room doctor who gives excellent medical care and follow up. Dr. Chimangi is available to his patients and will listen to your situation and circumstances and always find a way he can "help" you. I am someone in the medical profession and he is a physician that if and when you need urgent care after hours/which never really feels like after hours because he is available 8a to 8p most days........and would truly be there to help out if necessary or called. I thank him greatly for always being there to help me out and trust him with all of my medical needs/ or my family's needs!! 09/27/2010 I am not able to put into words how much I appreciate Dr Chimanji. When coming back from overseas I had incredible back pain. I called the ph # on his door which directed me to his personal cell phone 9:00PM at night. I couldn't believe he actually took my call this late into the night. Not only did he take my call he actually came into his clinic just to evaluate me and help me with my issues. I have met with him a couple of times after that for multiple issues. Every time he listened and became a true friend. Even when I was having some very BIG personal issues he always took the time to just sit down and talk with me and give me guidance and sound advice. For me he is not just an EXCELLENT Dr, but has set and example of the man I only hope I can become one day. A man I can call a true friend and always looking out for my best interest. His wife is also a wonderful woman who always treated me with the utmost respect and has two beautiful children. Words are not sufficient to explain my feeling for Dr. Chimanji and his family. They helped me threw some very critical issues and would be there to just listen and give me sound advice on aspects of life. I personally thank Dr. Chimanji for saving my life. On one occasion I was having some real personal issues and Dr Chimanji actually drove to my apartment and sat with me for over an hour until I fell a sleep that night. He then called me first thing in the morning to check on my well being and to make sure I was alright. Not only did this Doctor give up his personal and family time, he provided the best care available at any facility. From previous experiences, most âurgent careâ type facilities come across as wanting your money and then punt to your GP. Not at NR Urgent Care. Dr. C has a general practitioner dedication to you and your family with the knowledge and expertise of emergency room treatment. Hands down, I will continue to drive an hour to seek his care! Where do I start. I have been going to Dr.Chimanji for over a year now for any medical need in my family. He is by far one of the best doctors I have seen in the US. He is very caring and is available anytime of the year and I literally mean it. Even though his office is open only till 8.00 PM round the year, you can call his personal mobile anytime and he comes to his clinic to see you even at mid-night. I have not seen such dedication in this field in the US. He even offered to come to my house in case I was too sick to ride down to his clinic. Honestly, when I go to him, I know I am in good hands. He rarely prescribes harsh or strong medications. He never suggests unnecessary procedures (like scans, etc) unless it is really required. Most of all, he and his wife Sangita are extremely pleasant when you go to his clinic off hours. Which doctor leaves his mobile number with you and answers your call promptly? I would happily recommend him to anyone anytime. Infact, in the past year I was going through a lot and have been to many specialists. When these so called specialists would just rush me out of their office after a visit, I was always welcome to merely call Dr. Chimanji and discuss my questions with him. He never charged me a penny for all these free consultations. When most doctors in Texas do not disclose the results of your tests over phone and require you to come to their office physically (money minded - especially when you dont get appointments immediately and the doctors are not available over phone at all during this time; you just have to keep your fingers crossed), Dr. chimanji would call up personally and discuss the results over phone. He would never give his patients even the slightest mental agony. A doctor worth a million in this age. I never felt like having a primary after having been to Dr. Chimanji and sometimes I pester him to do my primary healthcare too.
KarenB 07/12/2010 Recently we had an emergency while our 9 yr. old goddaughter and her Mother were visiting us from out of town. The accident caused a laceration to the cheek and under the chin. She was obviously frightened, extremely upset and fearful of the possibility of needing stitches. Dr. Chimanjiâs clinic, N R Urgent Care of Plano, was close-by and he and his wife, Sangita, were immediately available to come to our aid. Dr. Chimanji and Sangita were very calm and talked us through the treatment options. They were both entirely attentive to us all, especially calming to our goddaughter, while making us all feel very confident that we in the âbest of handsâ.
After our guests arrived back to their home they followed-up with a pediatric plastic surgeon at Vanderbilt Childrenâs Hospital in Nashville, TN. It was confirmed that Dr. Chimanji had made all of the correct decisions for our goddaughterâs injury. He chose to apply sterile adhesive strips to the wound, instead of stitches, and prescribed the antibiotic best for her injury.
Dr. Chimanji has had many years of experience in large hospital emergency rooms. His new emergency clinic is located close to most West Plano neighborhoods. Our preference was to be seen quickly but also without the stress and crowds of a larger hospital emergency room. Dr. Chimanji was available immediately for our goddaughter. We highly recommend Dr. Chimanji, his office manager and wife, Sangita, for any medical need whether for an emergency or for an illness. 06/29/2010 There is nothing I can say or write to convey the caring and dedication this doctor has for his patients. Never will you find another urgent care doctor as absolutely dedicated to his patients care. After 2 years, he has not only been an excellent Doctor, but I am honored to call him my friend. After all, how many doctors do you know of that answer their own phone-when you call, you get the Doctor himself-try that ANYWHERE else. Dr. Chimanji is amazing. Not only is this care facility open 7 days a week, professional, and clean, the doctor is caring, professional And actually listens to you. He follows up and is actually there for the patient. He accepts walk-in, or appointments, you can usually be seen within 10 minutes. I do not normally post blogs or reviews but this is an exceptional doctor that has treated me very well for the last year. I will continute to not only use him for urgent care but as my family doctor. Blake Dr .Chimanji is not your ordinary everyday dr. He actually listens to what you have to say and works with you to fix your problems and wants to help you with whatever your problem or your struggling with in your life, no matter what it is. He is always there to listen to whatever I have to say even if its just to talk because i've have had a day. His office is always open 7 days a week you dont needd an appt just walk in, he shows up early stays till late at night. Unlike most doctors he isnt in it for the money, he is in it to help anyone with whatever your problem might be. Dr. C worked as an ER DR all over for many years, so he's seen it all. I would recommend him to anyone I know for any problem that you might have. I have gotten to know him personally over the past couple of years, and I dont only consider him my dr but a true personal friend. I have been into to see Dr. Chimanji for a number of issues and each and everytime I have seen him, he takes his time to educate me as much as he can about the situation at hand. I would recommend NR Urgent care over any other urgent care facility for a few reasons. Not only does Dr. Chimanji care about each and every patient, he takes his time to make sure hes helping you the best he can.Although soft spoken, Dr. Chimanji is very intelligent, with over 18 years of experience and will most definitly give you the best care, and as quickly as possible. If he practiced as a primary care physician, I would most definitly have my whole family be part of his clinic. megan_kay2004 11/21/2009 My boyfriend and I work long, crazy hours in the restaurant industry, so finding a doctor when we got off work for our sinus infections was a huge stress. Urgent Care fixed that. Even at 12:30 at night, Dr. Chimanji was extremely welcoming, friendly, and quick to prescribe treatment for our symptoms. So many doctors these days rush in and out to see you as a patient, and can barely give you the time it takes to properly diagnose you. But Dr. Chimanji gave us an experience that we raved about for the whole ride over to the pharmacy. It was like we came over to his own home for a visit.
When the pharmacist announced that my medication would be well over $100 (my health insurance isn't so great), I was sticker shocked. So she called UC and Dr. Chimanji answered promptly, and gave her a much more affordable prescription to fill for me. It is so hard to find health care of this calibur these days, and I highly recommend Urgent Care in Plano to anyone who needs a great doctor's experience. Dr Chimanji is one of the best Primary Care Physicians I have seen in Plano. I was stung by a bunch of Fire ants and within 15 minutes I realized that I need medical care, I rushed to Dr Chimanji's clinic and in the time it took my wife to park the car and fill up the form (2 pages), he had already taken control of situation and was ready with a anti-histamine shot. Then he asked me to wait in one of the treatment rooms for 30 - 45 minutes and see if my symtoms are going away or not. Could not have expected this from any other physician.
I have seen Dr. Chimanji twice due to a sports related injury and cannot say enough good things about him or his practice. In addition to being very reasonably priced and prompt, he is also thorough and friendly and has years of experience as a ER Physician. I am a single dad and do not have 4 hours to sit in the ER - much less afford it. You can actually reach him on the telephone as well if you have questions or concerns about your treatment. I will be recommending him to all my friends. Thank you Dr. Chimanji !!!
This is a follow up since I last posted the above review. First, I would like to say that Dr. Chimanji is a wonderful Urgent Care physician for so many reasons that I cannot possibly elaborate them all here. Both times he helped me out b/c I had no insurace, I was seen immediiatly without having to wait in a line. Dr. Chimanji is extremely knowledgeable as he has numerous years as a ER Physician. He calmly listens to his patient's issues and I would not want go any other place except his. Dr. Chimanji understands the value of time. When you call, you get the doctor on the other line, he works after hours, before hours and does whatever he can to accomodate your busy schedule. I will not see another physician again, unless I absolutely have to. I have and will continue to send additional friends to this Urgent Care Facility. Thank you Dr. Chimanji for saving me time, money and being so very understanding when it comes to my treatment. I could go on forever about all the positive qualities of Dr. Chimanji and his practice. When you call his office-he answers the phones to make sure patients get taken care of immediately and are treated with the highest level of service and respect. 08/15/2009 We have seen Dr. Chimanji at N.R Urgent care several times within the last couple of years for various reasons. He is one of the very few doctors who truly cares for his patients in this town. I have taken my husband, my daughters and myself to this place. He is not only caring but also very much knowledgable, quick and reasonable. He doesn't run unnecessary tests that breaks your pocket. His passion for his profession is admirable and has not ceased though he has been a doctor for so many years. He gives you the care at his office and does the follow up call to make sure you are doing ok. Even after hours he attends his call. I Highly recommend N.R Urgent Care and Dr. Chimanji to anybody who needs high quality care without the long waiting times or paying a fortune! :)

My 3 yr old son slipped and and lacerated his eyebrow about 3-in open. I called several Urgent Care in Plano but they were all closed.(11 pm) And I dread the long wait in ER. I found NR Urgent Care online.When I called NR-Urgent Care- to my surprise that the doctor actually answered the phone. After I told him what is wrong with my son he immediately said, I can see him in 10 min- not even asking my insurance. I live about 15 min away and Dr Chimanji was already waiting when I got to his clinic. I was very impressed. He immediately befriended my 3 yr old and got his trust. My son was very comfortable with Dr Chimanji and had him put 2 stitches on his eyebrow. In less than 30 min. we were out of the clinic.
I have been a nurse for almost 15 yrs now and worked in Medical/Surgical Unit and some ER- Dr Chimanji had all the great qualities a physician should be. He is a very down to earth kind of guy- and take his time to get to know the patient.He has extensive medical background history and his clinic is very nice and well equipped. I could not believe that medical care is personal again. He never even once brought up about my insurance I had to offer my card to him after the procedure was done. I would definitely go back and see him again and refer him to all my friends. 07/08/2009 I had a tragic accident where I tore my arm on barbed wire. I needed assistance immediately and first went to the ER of Plano. After sitting in the chair without assistance for 30 minutes I realized that I had to leave. I googled and found this Urgent Care facility and was impressed by the first phone call. I actually talked to him on the phone before we arrived. Again, let me clarify I spoke to a DOCTOR on the t.e.l.e.p.h.o.n.e. before I even stepped foot in the door of his office.The facility was clean, the receptionist was kind, and the energy was clear. He spent quality time numbing, comforting in a scientific way, and explaining every move. I would recommend anyone if you want C.A.R.E then this is the place to go. I have even written about him in my blog. Shivakumar NR Urgent care is the best place if you need an immediate attention during emergency.
Dr Chimanji is a professional who guides you with complete information. I have hurt my knee's during sporting activities, Dr Chimanji was there for me around 11:30p.m and he took a great effort to make me comfortable and provided immediate medication to reduce the intense pain I had. I refer NR Urgent Care who need immediate treatment and guidance. se 03/03/2009 I fell off a ladder and needed QUICK medical attention and couldn't bare sitting in an Emergency Room for hours. I also hate going to Carenow and Primacare because their wait is usually at least an hour and their doctors rotate and don't seem to care much.
So I found NR Urgent care online and decided to give it a try. I was being seen by the doctor within 15 minutes of arriving and Dr. Chimanji was quite the professional and gentleman.
He took the time to listen and and didn't make me feel rushed and like he had better things to do. He checked me out thoroughly to make sure I had no broken bones and I left a very happy patient. Dr. Chimanji's wife at the front desk was also very courteous and friendly.
NR Urgent care is located in a great spot, on Preston Road neare Legacy and 121 and is very convenient.
So the next time you need Urgent care and want to get what you pay for, please go see Dr. Chimanji- you won't be disappointed!The perfect office experience. Waited less than 10 minutes. Went right in made me feel very comfortable and he really cared about what I was going through. This doctor has a big heart and really takes care of his patients. I would reccomend him to anyone that needs a great doctor.
Thanks Doc. 02/06/2009 After looking up urgent care facilities in the area, I found NR Urgent Care. I called and talked to Dr. Chimanji, and was instantly taken by how much he cared about my questions, and about (in this case) my sons health. We visited him at his clinic that same night, and we (my son and I) were both completely satisfied with him and his facility.
